Fluid Susceptibility Testing

Fluid Susceptibility Testing

Fluid susceptibility testing will, among other things, evaluate the potential, toxicity, duration of exposure to several lubricants and fluids such as: solvents, lubricating fluids, fuel, etc. During its life cycle, a product, assembly, sub-assembly or component will be subjected to certain types of fluids. The utility for the manufacturer is to know what will be the effects of certain fluids on the lifetime of these fluids.

Thus, electrical and physical chemical properties will be inspected before, during and after testing to determine if there has been penetration, cracking, premature aging, etc.

Our fluid susceptibility testing capabilities include spraying, brushing, and immersion. Standards which reference fluid susceptibility are MIL-STD-810, RTCA/DO 160, and EN 3909.
