Radiated Emissions Testing – Measuring radiated electromagnetic interference

The purpose of this test is to verify the levels of radiated electromagnetic interference emitted by electronic equipment in the air. The test is carried out using an EMI receiver and antennas adapted to the measured frequencies.

Test parameters for radiated emissions testing include:

  • Frequency range: 10kHz to 18GHz
  • Limit programmed according to test standards
  • Measurement detector: Peak, Quasi-Peak, Medium, Medium CISPR
  • Bandwidth: 9kHz, 10kHz, 100kHz, 120kHz, 1MHz

Standards which reference EMC Emissions Testing include:

  • CISPR11 / EN55011
  • CISPR12 / EN55012
  • CISPR14 / EN55014
  • CISPR15 / EN55015
  • CISPR22 / EN55022
  • CISPR25 / EN55025
  • FCC Part 15 subpart B
  • NMB-003 / NMB-005
  • RTCA/DO-160G section 21
